The Founder

naughty girl media all rights reserved natalie lueNatalie Lue, 33, has been blogging for nearly seven years although she didn’t become an official publisher till February 2008, when she left her senior sales role at a large technology publisher to pursue blogging full time after maternity leave.

With over fifteen years experience working primarily in media sales and marketing roles in radio, directories, magazine and online publishing, during this time, blogging gave her the opportunity to pursue her love of writing and combine it with her experience and passions.

In truth, she started blogging in June 2004 after a bad date, where she gathered a large fan base around her personal blog and launched Baggage Reclaim in September 2005, as an antidote to the dating and relationship advice drivel, and poor self-esteem messaging that is continually fed to women. During this time she got very wise about her own poor relationship which she shared with readers and has built herself as an authority on emotional unavailability, commitment issues, self-esteem, and poor relationships. It has over 270K unique users a month.

Two weeks before her first child was born in May 2007, she created Bambino Goodies in response to the terror she’d felt when she thought might live in a sea of plastic and pastels and it has since become the biggest baby and parenting products blog in the UK with over 80K readers a month, and she followed it with Nest Goodies which was launched in 2008 to curate goodies that ‘big kids’ like herself love, and it has almost 21K unique users a month.

Natalie has been featured in The Express, The Daily Lite, News of the World’s Fabulous Magazine, Marie Claire, Red Magazine, Cosmopolitan (online), The Voice Newspaper, plus various websites and blogs, as well as guesting on Sky News on over 10 occasions from late 2008 to mid 2010 and has also guested on BBC Radio. She’s been a panelist for Haymarket’s PR & The Media Conference 2010, spoke at Cybermummy 2010 and 2011, the UK’s parent blogging conference, on making money from your blog, been a guest mentor for OhMyBlog Workshops, plus she’s run relationship workshops in London and New York.

She lives in Caterham, Surrey with ‘the boyf’ and their two daughters and has a slightly Irish accent that catches people off guard as she was bought up in Dublin.
